We provide a banner showing this is the Illinois state tournament, plus four smaller banners listing our basic rules. We ask the host establishment to hang the large banner above the pin deck approximately a month prior to the start of the tournament, and the smaller ones on the concourse area by the opening weekend.. We ask that the host
establishment pay for the recap score sheets. We bill you for the actual usage,
approximately one week after the conclusion of the tournament. The current
charge is five cents for each team recap sheet; and five cents for two singles
and one double sheet. The cost, for example, 400 teams @ 5 cents would be
$20.00; 800 doubles-1600 singles would be $40.00.

For consistent scoring conditions as much as possible, we request your lanes be stripped and dressed at the start of each tournament day: No problem ___ Have a problem___
The lanes must also be stripped and dressed after the second
squad of each tournament day. We have allotted approximately an hour, which
should be sufficient, depending on the number of lanes and type of machine
used. Also, we suggest that your dressing machine be ready to start as soon as
lanes are open. You do not have to wait until the complete squad is finished.
Time required to dress your lanes would be: approximately _____ minutes.
Your local bowling association is responsible for lane inspections. No problem ___ Have a problem___
Your establishment,
or if your bowling association wishes to handle this, is responsible for
obtaining scorekeepers, who place names into the automatic scoring machines,
transfer scores to our recap sheets, monitor the bowlers,
etc. Normally, we require one person for each four pair of
lanes in the team event, and one person for each three pair of lanes in the
minor events. Scorers receive $20.00 per squad worked, whether team
or minor events. Proprietors decision when paying the scorekeepers. We
re-imburse the proprietor following completion of the tournament.
No problem ___ Have a problem___
A number of bowling centers have computers able to place names into the scoring machines before the squads start. If your establishment can do this, the information would be sent to the center the early part of each week. Does your establishment have this feature? Yes___ No___
The IUSBC
BA will contact the local bowling association to furnish tournament office personnel as
needed, normally one person. That person would also help in obtaining
scorekeepers, filling in for an absent scorekeeper (no additional pay), and maintain a work log of the
squads worked. That person receives $25.00 per
squad worked, and paid at the conclusion of the tournament.

We strongly suggest that the local association conduct a 50/50 raffle each squad. If the association conducts the raffle, for example, $400 collected, the winner gets $200, the association receives $100 and the IUSBC BA receives $100. If the association doesn't conduct the raffle, the IUSBC BA handles it and receives the full split. No problem ___ Have a problem ___

listed on our entry blanks and also preferential listing on the team captains
confirmation letter. For this, we ask for one comp
room for the IUSBC BA, which would be on Friday and Saturday of the first

personnel handling our
